  •       Have a binder, 3-ring hole punch, scrap paper and a stapler handy

  •       Use the lists provided to organize your documents in piles for each section

  •       Staple any small documents to scrap paper

  •       Find, fill in, and place each document as requested by the checklists

  •       Download a phone scanner app to begin organizing your files digitally

 

ASSETS & LIABILITES SECTION

In this section, each form has three components:  Contact/Important Information, Financial Docs Binder and the ZO Filing System with an archive section.  Check off each task AS completed.

    ___  Contact/Important Information:  Enter this requested information on each form and/or in your home computer address book                       

    ___  Financial Docs Binder:  Use this component to learn what forms you have and to find out what you are missing and file what is requested

    ___  ZO Filing System:  Use this component to determine what should be kept in the filing system, or your own system, instead of the Financial Docs Binder

 

NETWORTH SECTION

In this section, you have a statement form to help you determine your net worth. Your net worth can be used to measure your current financial situation compared to where you want it to be.  It is recommended to periodically calculate your net worth to measure and track your financial well-being. 

      Use the assets and liabilities sections to fill out your net worth statement

      Take the totals from those forms and insert them into the equation:

                                             ASSETS – LIABILITIES = NET WORTH
